Lostwithiel Tourist Information Centre

Lostwithiel Community Centre opened in 1983 to provide facilities for the local community. It was built with much energy from the people of Lostwithiel and is run by local people. The Lostwithiel Community Association is a Registered Charity and relies on a small number of dedicated staff and voluntary helpers. The wide range of activities available at the Centre can be seen below, but new activities are often added so if there is something you are interested in that is currently not included then just call us. And please, never hesitate to volunteer!

In 1999 we added a Youth Centre to the Community Centre, again on the basis of much voluntary involvement from people wishing to benefit the town. This is now called 'Oasis' and is built on to the side of Lostwithiel Community Centre. Lostwithiel Community Centre is available for hire for private parties, weddings, concerts, markets and almost anything else you can think of! Typical weekly activities include those listed below:

Every year, Lostwithiel Community Association has an Annual General Meeting to reflect on the past year, recieve financial reports and plan the future for our Community Centre and Youth Club. In order to vote for the various changes proposed, it is essential that you are a member of the Lostwithiel Community Association (LCA). This costs a mere £1 a year for membership, so please ensure that you visit the centre and join to claim your right to help manage this important local resource.
